From the home-technology company I help run · data & reports

The reports that build themselves.

Every business runs on the same few morning questions: what's new, what changed, what moved, what needs an answer. Most owners get those answers by interrupting somebody — or never get them at all.

The problem

At the company I help run as COO, those questions used to be answered the way they are everywhere: someone logs into the project system, pokes around, builds a spreadsheet when there's time. Pulling that data together ran about five hours a week — and only one or two people ever saw it, so everyone else worked off whatever they'd heard secondhand.

What runs

Five small automations now pull from our project system overnight and land in the right inboxes by 7 AM:

The numbers

~5 hours a week of data-pulling, gone Up to speed in about 10 minutes each morning Transparent to everyone — nobody hunts for it

The honest part

Nobody sat down and built a reporting system. We built one small report, used it for a while, then built the next. That's the entire method: each one took days, not months, and was useful on its own before the next existed. The quiet win isn't even the five hours — it's that the whole team now starts the day looking at the same facts, instead of chasing them down one person at a time.
This runs in my own operation today.

Not a brochure case study — a system I depend on. If you've got a version of this problem in your business, the Walk-Through finds it: a ranked list of the small wins sitting in your operation, no obligation to build any of it.
