AI that reads the blueprints.

In the trades, bidding starts with somebody reading a 200-page architectural plan set, sheet by sheet, hunting for every countertop, cabinet, and surface. Hours of squinting before you can price a single dollar.

The problem

A commercial plan set is a haystack: structural sheets, mechanical, electrical — and buried in the architectural pages, the actual scope. Takeoff means a skilled estimator finding and listing every item by room before pricing even begins. On a big set that's easily 20 to 40 hours. It's the bottleneck on every bid.

What runs

Now:

The numbers

20–40 hours of reading on a big plan set Now touches ~20 bids a month Saves ~2 hours on a small job, up to 40 on a large one

The honest part

The estimator still prices, still judges, still catches what looks wrong. The machine just did the reading. And we learned the hard way to check the machine's work — early on, a misconfigured run came back nearly empty on a million-dollar bid. That's exactly why it runs three passes now, and why every automation we build ships with a way to see that it actually worked.
This runs in my own operation today.

Not a brochure case study — a system I depend on. If you've got a version of this problem in your business, the Walk-Through finds it: a ranked list of the small wins sitting in your operation, no obligation to build any of it.
